Sterling between Bedford and Franklin. This is the block in Crown Heights, Brooklyn my family moved to when I was 14 years old and where my mom still lives. September 2019 I went to it’s annual block party. Some of these faces I know well, others I have walked past for years with a nod or a wave and others still, I had never seen.  This is an ongoing project as I will continue to photograph portraits during the annual block party each year with a goal to photograph every person who makes up this micro community.
